Speaking of birthdays, there’s this one time we got invited to a birthday party of the daughter of Ate Ghie’s friend who works as a security guard in the school Ate Ghie teaches. I just wanna share this experience since I find it very inspiring. As you can see, we’re eating outside. This is because the celebrant’s house, which can accommodate only a few people at a time, is already full. No, the one in the picture is not the house, it’s just that even outside, it’s already very crowded that we had to use the neighbor’s free front space. Haha! Next to our table would be…. the street. Yup, the street! We’re eating outside the celebrant’s house, at the neighbor’s free front space, beside the street! The busy street, the polluted street, the street! Haha. It was such a fun experience though. A first! It made me realize that it is really our choices that make us who we are. This is one full example. Ate Maricel, despite her low paying job, still managed to throw a party for her daughter. That despite the crisis, she chose to go make some fun and celebrate rather than whine about it. She even shared her blessing by inviting people over than choosing to be selfish, ‘coz let’s admit it, the more the visitors, the more expensive it gets. Haaay. Wish there would be more like Ate Maricel. Wish I could be like Ate Maricel. Choosing to stay positive, to be happy…no matter how hard life gets. :)
Ate Ghie’s 5:30am surprise! 07/20/2011
Our supposedly 4am surprise (thus the pampatulog outfit) happened instead at 5:30am! Twas a success though! Haha! Too bad Ate Joy wasn’t around to, at least, capture the event. Another thing we successfully did? Invited Ate Ghie’s special someone to come over. Awww, you could really see the spark in her eyes. LOL! Happy Birthday, Ate Ghie! ;)

One of my closest friends away from home. She’s actually yeaaaars older than us but her child-like heart doesn’t make her any different from us. Haha. Fun fact: she’s a college teacher! And she’s currently taking her masteral (in Literature) at UST. Yup, she’s that young and simple. Hahaha. Because of that; that she’s a teacher and loves literature, we thought of making a poem for her. It just so happens I was the one incharge. As random as I can think of, but of course with all my heart…LOL. Here it goes:
ATE GHIE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY
This poem we made for our friend
Genalyn S. Rubio, our Ate, our decision-maker, the one we can depend.
Although we may not say it always, or not at all,
“WE LOVE YOU, ATE”, once and for all.
Your dimples as deep as our love for you
Believe us because we are honest and true.
Your belly is as big as your heart,

Geej and I 2 years ago watching Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. That was quite disappointing. Only 15minutes of 3D!!! Now….
Here we are 2 years after, still together on an HP movie… :)
As per tradition, watched the epic finale of Harry Potter with Geej! I kinda regret why I watched it too soon though, now there’s nothing to look forward to anymore. *sigh* Let me just rant a little of what I think of the movie. Shall I? Haha! First of all, watching it in 3D is super worth it. It’s like being inside of it and more. Haha. I also love how the cinema is so full of HP fans that not a single seat is vacant! WOOT! Second, KUDOS to all those responsible for the graphics, the soundtrack, the effects and everything in between! How talented you guys are! These are what basically made the movie epic. But story wise, not really. :( How heartbreaking, especially that scene after Voldemort’s death. Where was the excitement? The happines?! I don’t get it, really. Isn’t it the most important thing, Voldemort dying? And they were just like… :( Oh well.. Seeing Snape cry was heartbreaking too! He deserves an Oscar for this. Also to Bellatrix who acted just like Hermione and to Prof. McGonagall’s awesomeness. Hee. Deep breaths, hands tightly holding Geej’s arm and teary-eyed, the whoooole time. Haaaaaaaay, Harry Potter, why must you come to an end? Loveyou, forever! n_n

Cried a night for a child,
I’ll never forgive, the world is wild.
He sits there alone and small
with rags for sale, he carried it all.
I asked how much,
he told a price.
I could just wonder,
his voice i can decipher.
His voice is a voice
a sad child can be.
His words were all
but about his rags.
His eyes, if you have only seen,
eyes of innocence the world fooled.
His frail body, his untidy hair,
His whole being, betrayed by his fate.
He is but a child,
he should have played
instead he sold.
as he sold, the world is getting old.
And as he walked away,
A tear rolled down my eye.
So I prayed for him
and i cried a night for a child.
There are just some people who hurt people & not feel anything. And instead of hurting them back, you just can’t…… because you’re good enough.

Being a Biology major that I am, microscopes and tiny organisms preserved in slides are my friends. It’s Mami’s 23rd year in service today! WOOOOOT! So even though I’m miles away, I’m still mini-celebrating with friends. Hee. I’m so proud of you, Mami! Mwah! <3

My favorite month of the year! Just because it’s the seventh. Hee. Things to look forward to this month: My favorite day of the year- JULY 7! And of course, the epic finale of Harry Potter! Although deep down I don’t want to see Harry Potter end. Ever. Oh well. n____n
